I didn't even know walls could be washed. I thought that if paint was dirty--whether it was dusty woodwork, fingerprints on the wall, or drips--it needed repainting. You can bet that you let a lot of dirt accumulate before you bother dragging out the paint brush. I don't even know what possessed me to try it the first time, but I was hooked. Even if the walls aren't that much cleaner, somehow the whole house seems brighter just because I know I did the work. I still don't do it often, but I love the results.
